Frequently asked questions
Nikki, how long have you been doing this?
I have been working in residential conveyancing for almost 9 years (plenty of time still to plan a big 10 year party. Are you free in 2026?). It’s fair to say I’m into it, and know how to navigate a lot of situations that can pop up unexpectedly. That’s all to say that you will be in the safe, reliable hands of a lawyer who will keep you updated.
Are you qualified?
Yes, I am a Licensed Conveyancer which is as simple as it sounds: I hold an active, clean license from a regulator, which enables me to help people like you from the start of their matter to the very end. No messiness. The regulator is the CLC and you can look me up (it’s not that exciting, but if you want to) at clc-uk.org to check that I am, actually, me. Phew!
Who will work for me?
I will, along with my very helpful assistant Ashley, who may keep you chatting! So if you can’t get me for any reason, you will reach Ashley who can help you with an admin question, or let me know that I need to return your call as soon as I can.
Why aren’t you working in a law firm any more?
Honestly, I think I can help people more by being more accessible, and flexible with my time. I want to make a difference in your life by working in this way, reducing the overall time it takes to complete your matter. Hopefully, you will choose to benefit from this choice too!
Can I ask you a question before I decide to work with you?
Of course you can, it will be great to work with you and that always starts with getting to know each other. Please use the contact form below to let me know what’s on your mind.
Will you add on sneaky extra fees while working for me?
Absolutely not. First, that’s against the CLC’s code of conduct, which I sleep next to (I wish that was a joke). Second, if something on a property deed is SO unusual that it will take me a significant amount of extra time to work through, I will let you know as soon as I am aware of it. I take no pleasure in adding costs on, but sometimes a rare mess is hidden in the deeds. I will only ever be reasonable about an additional fee, don’t worry.
